Mobile Tickets

     Mobile Ticketing is a service that facilitates the process of ticket purchasing.
A mobile application, similar to Mobile Order, permits the owner of a handset to search for the ticket which matches his demands and buy it instantly, using his Credit Card just like while he is on the internet. Only that in this case, internet is not needed as the whole transaction can be completed with the interchange of encrypted SMS messages. 

     The purchaser selects the ticket, fills in the information required (usually purchaser’s name, surname and date of birth, Credit Card’s type, number, expiration date and security code and finally the cardhorder’s name) and selects the “Complete Transaction” choice. Then the application encrypts the information given to an SMS which is automatically forwarded to the Booking Department of the application’s publisher. After the credit card’s charging (made in a similar manner to the internet charging), the company will automatically send to the purchaser an SMS that will contain a Barcode. This Barcode will represent the receipt of the transaction as well as the ticket itself.  The ticket is now purchased, stored in the Mobile Phone and can be checked by any 2D barcode scanner, including other mobile phones (used as inspection devices).
